La polonaise Iga Swiatek de 21 ans a remporté pour la deuxième fois le tournoi de Roland Garros face à l'américaine Coco Gauff de 18 ans. Elle conserve ainsi son statut de no 1 mondiale.
La grande favorite de la porte d'Auteuil a battu facilement Coco Gauff en 1h08 (6-3, 6-1). " Gagner ici il y a deux ans était déjà incroyable. Mais depuis j'ai travaillé dur pour revenir ici, c'était difficile, la pression était grande" a déclaré la jeune polonaise en recevant la coupe Suzanne-Lenglen.
